Cyndy's Blessed Assurance

Here is a review from Rob Tankard concerning the book:

“First things first:

One…I love to read. I have around 650 books at my house right now, and I add a couple every time I hit Books A Million or Barnes and Noble. While I’m nothing resembling a professional critic, I can tell if a books going to be a good read a chapter or so in. I will and would've tossed a book before I got halfway through the second chapter if it wasn’t a keeper. Cyndy’s Blessed Assurance is a keeper in a big way.

Two, I’ve known Anne for pushing 30 years, though we lost touch for a good portion of that time. I had no idea she could write. And trust me on this, she can write, and write well.

As I noted, Anne and I lost touch, and I had knew nothing about Cyndy until she got in touch with me and told me about her daughter and about her book. She gave me a signed copy on a Monday. I started reading it Tuesday evening, and finished it at work Wednesday night. Anne tells a heartwarming and heartbreaking story of raising and ultimately losing a very special child.

She writes with a very refreshing candor about the joy, hardships, humor, frustrations, and a very special kind of love that came with raising Cyndy, who made her way into the hearts of all who had gotten to know her. Read Cyndy’s Blessed Assurance and you’ll feel the same way.

Anne also speaks of her very deep and abiding faith in God and the part that it played in her life, and how her Faith got her through the ordeal of losing her daughter and the rough times she experienced afterwards.

Memories and commentary from Cyndy’s doctor, Dr. Larry White and from other family members add to what is already a very good read. I As I read, I smiled, laughed a few times, was amazed regularly, shared her frustration and her and her family’s heartbreak. She allows you to share her experiences as you read, and you too will come to understand and appreciate the same emotions that Anne and all who knew Cyndy felt. And yes, a little girl just may burrow her way into your heart.

Technically…OK again, I’m not a professional critic, or even an unprofessional critic so I have no real technical expertise here. I do, however know what a good read looks like. Cyndy’s Blessed Assurance is a good read, as well as a very special one.”
